Yoics' versions 2.2.203 and later are capable of operating in Windows Vista. To operate, the user must configure the program to operate in both Compatibility mode and to Run as an administrator.

Locate YOICS-Desktop.exe

The first step is to locate the folder that contains the Yoics executable. Go to the Start menu, select Computer, go to your main hard drive, program files and finally to Yoics.

Modify properties

From there simply right click on YOICS-Desktop.exe

And click on the apprpriate boxes. For compatiblity mode, select Windows XP (Service Pack 2)

Click on "OK" and you should be good to go.

If Yoics is still having problems connecting to devices, you may need to configure the Windows Firewall to allow it to operate as an exception.
